How to Choose the Right Size Storage Unit

When it comes to renting storage, choosing the right unit size is key. Too small, and you’ll struggle to fit everything in. Too big, and you might be paying for space you don’t need. Here’s how to get it just right.

1. Start with a list

Note down everything you plan to store — furniture, boxes, bikes, tools, etc. This gives you a clear idea of how much space you’ll really need.

2. Think in volume, not just floor space

Most units are 8ft high or more, so you can stack boxes and stand furniture upright. A 50 sq ft unit can store more than you think if packed smartly.

3. Consider future access

If you’ll need to regularly grab things, opt for a slightly larger unit and leave a walkway inside. It’s worth the extra space for convenience.

4. Ask for advice

Our team can help you choose the right unit size based on what you’re storing. We’ll even show you around before you decide.
